What to Expect at your prom appointment

We allow 90 minutes for your appointment and we ask you to try to be as prompt as possible as we don't like to rush you - if you are running late, please give us a call to let us know.  We will introduce you to your stylist when you arrive and then give you some time to look around.  You must attend your appointment with an adult over 18 and we strongly advise against coming with a friend - it might sound like a great idea but in reality it can often result in one girl feeling overshadowed by the other and take away from her experience.

We think it's important you are comfortable handling the dresses so we don't wrap them in plastic bags and make them feel like you can only look and not touch.  We do have clear shoulder covers on our dresses to protect the intricate detail on the bodices and to ensure dresses sold from the rail are in perfect condition.

If you want to share your budget with us when you arrive we will be mindful of this in our recommendations. 

You can try as many dresses as you like during your appointment.  Your stylist will be there to help .  

If you know what styles you like, great!  If you don't have a clue, that's fine too because we have lots of time and lots of dresses - you might think you'll suit a straight dress and end up with a ball gown - coming in with an open mind can result in the best decisions!  

If you have some heels you are more than welcome to bring them to give you an idea of how your dress will look.  

Most of our dresses have spaghetti straps or no straps.

Most dresses don't go over your head, but we do ask that you wear minimal make up just in case and please avoid applying tan before your appointment. We also may ask you to remove bracelets and watches to avoid snagging the dresses.

If you are taking your dress away on the day, full payment is required - we prefer card payments.

If you are ordering your dress, we will require a 50% non refundable deposit when you place the order.  The balance is due on collection.

Payment plans can be discussed on an individual basis.

When your dress arrives in store, we will contact you to arrange a fitting appointment. This will take 15 minutes and we do require you to attend and try on the dress rather than sending someone to collect on your behalf.  Your prom dress will come in a complimentary gown bag and as the material we use is breatheable it can be kept safely in this until the big day!
